Maarte Fair 2015

Apparently I sat in traffic for more than an hour going to Pasay, then was able to finish my medical clearance in CAAP in 30 minutes.

I have mixed feelings about it since I wasted more time in traffic doing nothing than actually being productive. Would have been nice doing nothing at home than in the middle of EDSA, thank you very much.

And it's the same amount of traffic going home.   Bless you, EDSA.  We need to have you exorcised.

Good thing I remembered reading about the Maarte Fair 2015 on Facebook, and decided to go and see.

Museum Foundation of the Philippines

The Museum Foundation of the Philippines (MFPI) is an organization dedicated to raise awareness and appreciation for the Philippines' rich artistic and cultural heritage.  The organization is in partnership with the National Museum, and it's divisions and branches.

The Maarte Fair, held annually, is one of the ways the foundation use to raise awareness and appreciation.

The Maarte Fair will run from today until Sunday, August 30 at the Rockwell Tent, from 10AM to 10PM.

Entrance fee is Php120 per person (or $2.55).  And you get a complimentary eco-bag.

Confession: I went for the food.  (DO NOT JUDGE. I am praying that I'd still fit in my uniform when I get back from vacation.)

Originally went for La Cocina de Tita Moning's Queso de Bola spread (and food to go for lunch), but on the way there, passed by Nipa's stall, and ended up getting Cashew Butter and Honey Wine.  The wine was so good when I sampled it, that I had to get.  For, um, emergencies?

Wasn't able to stay that long, since mom wasn't feeling well, and had to head home to run her errands for her.  That and I had her arroz caldo  lunch (also from La Cocina) with me.

Postscript Designs (who did a fantastic job of making my parents' personalized wrapping paper, that I had to have one made too) had a stall there too! Though I couldn't remember if it was 75 or 72.
